How many People on Y!A know the Difference between Classical Liberals and Liberals?

You can be a Classic Liberal today. The founders had an ideal in their time that in their day was not fulfilled. Their ideals were that for instance, all people should be treated equal by the government, but they lived in a time where society in general accepted slavery. Social change is good as long as it does not abandon good foundational principals. That is what it is to be a Classic Liberal today. That is not what Liberals or Progressives are today, because they are not building on and preserving the foundation that the founders had built. They are willing to throw out those fundamentals in favor of equality of outcomes in society.
